Sigma-Aldrich Inks Licensing Deal to Offer MSPs for Nanodisc Technology

Sigma-Aldrich has signed a licensing deal with the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign to offer two membrane scaffold proteins (MSPs) for use in nanodisc technology devised by Stephen Sligar, who serves as the Director of the School of Molecular and Cellular Biology at the university.

A team of researchers from the Tsinghua University and Rice University has demonstrated that a combination of carbon nanotube forests and a sulfide-based electrolyte can be used to fabricate high-efficient dye-sensitized solar cells (DSC) at a cost lower than that of conventional silicon-based solar cells.

ARM Releases New POP Configurations for TSMC 28 nm and 40 nm Process Technologies

ARM has expanded its portfolio of ARM Processor Optimization Pack (POP) solutions targeting several ARM Cortex processors for TSMC’s 28 nm and 40 nm process technologies. The company will release nine POP configurations for Cortex-A15, Cortex-A9, Cortex-A7, and Cortex-A5 processor cores.
