Cutter's Mill Pet Store to Distribute Dog Gone Smart Pet Beds

Nano Pet Products, LLC, a Wilton, Connecticut-based company dedicated to bringing cleaner and healthier pet products to pet owners worldwide through nanotechnology, has partnered with PA-based premium natural pet products retailer, Cutter's Mill, The Natural Pet Place, to carry its Dog Gone Smart(TM) line of dog beds, it was announced today by company founder, Chris Onthank. Nano Pet Products, LLC is the worldwide exclusive licensee for pet products manufactured with NanoSphere(R), a revolutionary proprietary fabric finish technology based on nanotechnology from Schoeller(R) Technologies AG, Switzerland.

"Since 2005, we have been providing our customers with premium brand natural and environmentally friendly products and the Dog Gone Smart(TM) dog bed line is the type of product our discerning customers are seeking," said Susan Parker, Executive Vice President/Chief Operating Officer of Cutter's Mill. She added, "In addition to the clean, environmentally-friendly benefits of the beds, our customers also like the neutral colors as they complement their classic home decor." According to Parker the beds are selling well in each of the company's four stores in Chalfont and Paoli, PA and Cherry Hill and Princeton, NJ, and she foresees expanding the offering to include the Dog Gone Smart(TM) apparel and blanket lines in the fall. Cutter's Mill is one of the only natural, holistic, and organic pet stores in the Delaware Valley region.

The NanoSphere(R) fabric finish uses nanotechnology, creating a non-visible structured textile surface so that coat oil, dirt, and liquids run off the surface. Any residue can easily be rinsed off with water or machine washed. NanoSphere(R) is currently used in premium fashion and performance human clothing brands and fabrics used for home furnishings. The fabric stands up to frequent washing and is highly abrasion resistant. NanoSphere(R) was developed in Switzerland and carries the label "bluesign(R) approved". The bluesign(R) standard is based on the world's strictest EHS (environment, health and safety) stipulations for textiles and examines all the relevant components from the very beginning of the manufacturing process. Nano Pet products are also bacteriostatic, which inhibits the spread of bacteria that can cause odor.

According to the American Pet Products Association, Americans will spend approximately $45.4 billion on their pets in 2009 -- a $2.2 billion increase over 2008.
