New Energy Research Report from NaturalNano

NaturalNano, Inc. (Pink Sheets:NNAN) (Frankfurt:N3N) announced today the new Energy Research News report includes NaturalNano's technology in Ultracapacitors for high-power energy storage.

"This 200 page report provides a comprehensive view of ultracapacitor technologies and applications, and analyzes how ultracapacitors will evolve over the next few years," says Eric Smalley, editor.

Materials account for over 50% of the total system cost of ultracapacitors. The active material, usually a form of carbon, is currently the highest cost. NaturalNano's Halloysite Natural Tubules HNT™ are a low cost.

Here is a quote from the report: "NaturalNano is a materials company that develops nanocomposite materials using naturally formed halloysite nanotubes. The company has intellectual property for using the material in ultracapacitor electrodes and is looking to partner with ultracapacitor manufacturers."

James Wemett, acting CEO & president of NaturalNano, explains, "Our U.S. Patent 7,400,490, Ultra Capacitors comprised of Mineral Microtubules" takes advantage of the extremely small size and high surface-to-volume of Halloysite, as well as its chemical stability, to provide improved electrolyte performance in high energy storage capacitors such as ultracapacitors and supercapacitors.

Mr. Wemett stated, "We have engaged an engineering firm to quantify the performance of halloysite tubes in ultracapacitors. Our plan is to license these patents to industrial partners in both ultracapacitor manufacture and energy extraction and storage."
