AIXTRON Wins New Order for MOCVD Reactor from APOLLO Precision

AIXTRON AG announced today a new order for an MOCVD reactor from new customer APOLLO Precision. The order comprises one CRIUS 31x2-inch configuration deposition system.

The QuanZhou, FuJian Province, China based company placed the order during the third quarter of 2010 and following delivery in December 2010, the system will be used for production of LED back-light units (BLU). The local AIXTRON support team will commission the new reactor in a dedicated facility at the company’s China production plant.

Professor ShuLin Wang, COO of APOLLO Precision, comments, “We are making a new investment to enter the LED epitaxy business and the CRIUS reactor will form the basis of our growth plans. Our customers are manufacturers that compete in a global marketplace so our goal is to provide them with high quality. This new business undertaking will be an interesting experience for us but we feel confident with the CCS CRIUS system – one of the world’s most productive MOCVD systems for production of GaN-based LEDs.”
