LiqTech International, Inc. ("LiqTech") is pleased to announce that a major U.S. oil company has ordered a LiqTech SiC membrane installation to be delivered by the end of this year. The end-user placed the order to confirm the properties of the LiqTech SiC membrane technology for various upstream Produced Water applications.
Mr. Finn Helmer, LiqTech CEO, remarked, "The customer sees a great potential in our technology for treatment of produced water in upstream Oil & Gas applications, which is confirmed by placing a purchase order for one of our pilot systems installed with LiqTech SiC membrane technology. The customer has indicated a wide application range of interest for SiC membrane solutions in both domestic and overseas O&G markets, where the SiC membranes outperforms conventional technology regarding quality of the treated produced water. The demand is clear and since the customer is one of the 'supermajor' oil companies, we believe successful tests within the discussed applications will be followed up by substantial orders. We are pleased to note this second order for a SiC membrane pilot system placed by an oil company within this quarter," Mr. Helmer finishes.
LiqTech is currently working with more than 50 oil companies, operators and system integrators in Europe, Americas, Middle East, SE Asia and China on SiC membrane projects in phases from initial evaluation to commissioning.
