Breast Motion, Nanotechnology and Nanowires Might Be The Solution To Powering Your iPod

Adrienne So from Slate has come up with a novel way to power her iPod while exercising. By using the motion of her breasts combined with nanowire fabric and nanotechnology.

Rotational generators and miniature linear generators were a couple of the other ideas for harnessing breast motion and turning it into electricity but the most promise seems to be with the use of bras made from fabric embedded with electricity producing nanowires.

The system has some drawbacks. Such a garment cannot be washed and the greater the breast size, and the greater the amount movement, the greater the electricity generated. For example the research showed that poorly supported D cup breasts travelled as much as 35 inches in up and down motion whereas well supported B cup breasts barely moved an inch.
