Industry Veteran Named Vice President and General Manager of NVM Solutions Business Unit

Virage Logic Corporation (NASDAQ:VIRL), the semiconductor industry's trusted IP partner, announced it is strengthening its non-volatile embedded memory (NVM) business with the appointment of Dr. Yankin Tanurhan as vice president and general manager of the company's NVM Solutions business unit. In this newly created position, Dr. Tanurhan will be responsible for leading all aspects of the company's NVM business. Dr. Tanurhan will report to Dr. Alex Shubat, Virage Logic's president and chief executive officer (CEO).

“We recognize that embedded NVM technology has broad reaching market potential that spans well beyond the traditional SoC application space we have been addressing. As such, we've brought on board an extremely capable executive to lead the expansion of our NVM business,” said Dr. Alex Shubat. “I’m confident Yankin's deep technical and operational management experience will enable him to drive the strategic vision and successful expansion of our NVM business into such new markets as power management, MEMS and precision analog applications.”

“Virage Logic has long been recognized as a leading provider of advanced technology semiconductor IP solutions,” said Dr. Tanurhan. “I'm looking forward to leading a very talented team as we address the expanding global market opportunities for the company's NVM technology.”
