Technology in miniature format is the answer to many challenges in industry, research and everyday life. MicroTechnology/HANNOVER MESSE shows solutions with micro- and nanotechnology for production, automotive and medical technology as well as numerous other industry sectors from April 20 to 24, 2009, in Hanover, Germany. IVAM Microtechnology Network organizes the forum "Innovations for Industry", where Korea, the partner country of this year's HANNOVER MESSE, will be present within the scope of a Korean-German symposium.

Here for example Samsung will report on printed electromechanical systems, and the Yeon-Sei University will speak about injection molding technology. The Korea Institute of Machinery & Materials KIMM will focus on microfactory technology, nano imprint technology and applications of carbon nanotubes.
Also German companies are going to show high-tech on a small scale within the Korean-German symposium. NanoFocus AG will explain how "a little nanometer" can effect energy efficiency, while LIMO Lissotschenko Mikrooptik GmbH introduces advanced laser technologies for surface modification. The Fraunhofer Institute for Manufacturing Technology and Applied Materials Research IFAM presents micro manufacturing for biomaterials technology.
Besides a micro and a nano forum the Korean-German symposium also includes a workshop on miniaturized systems and its fabrication for commercialization, organized by the Korea Institute of Industrial Technology KITECH.
In addition to the forum "Innovations for Industry", IVAM organizes the Product Market "Micro, Nano & Materials". The exhibitors of this joint pavilion show new trends and applications from various high-tech fields, among them laser technology for micro materials processing and microproduction, surface technologies and energy harvesting.
