Nanomaterial-Based Bone Graft Manufacturer Expands Production Facility

Pioneer Surgical Technology, a company specializing in medical devices, has announced the launch of its expanded production facility located in Greenville, North Carolina. The location accommodates the major production operations for the company’s biologic products marketed in the European and the US region.

Pioneer Surgical doubles the size of the Greenville facility to meet growth of its biologics line.

The medical device company has increased the capacity of the biomanufacturing plant by doubling its size in order to meet growth of the company’s biologic product line, including the proven bone graft product line called nanOss Bioactive and the newly introduced nanOss Bioactive 3D bone graft product.

The General Manager of Biologics at Pioneer Surgical Technology, Shane Ray commented that the company has witnessed strong revenue growth for its biologic, orthopedic and spine products since the establishment of its biologic business in the fiscal year 2007. Ray added that the expansion of its biomanufacturing facility in order to increase its capacity will help the company to roll out its future growth strategy inside and outside the United States.

Ray further said that this facility expansion is a testament to the company’s commitment towards the North Carolina region as well as to strengthen its dominance in surgical products for soft and bone tissue procedures.

Pioneer Surgical Technology’s Biologics, Spine and Orthopedic divisions offer advanced solutions for surgical procedures at a low cost. Pioneer Surgical Biologics now supplies a comprehensive portfolio of human de-mineralized bone matrix bone grafts, human tissue products such as machined lateral, conventional cervical and lumbar allograft, synthetic bone grafts and bone graft delivery accessories.
