CW-MHF Mid-IR Laser: Advanced Mid-IR Spectroscopy Solutions

The best instrument available for high-resolution mid-IR spectroscopy is the CW-MHF Mid-IR Laser. For users who want phase-continuous tuning to prevent spectral line hopping, high spectral resolution, or both, the DRS Daylight CW-Mode-Hop-Free laser is a suitable option.

In any laser system, achieving narrow-linewidth functioning and MHF tuning is challenging. The CW-MHF system, which is unique in the industry, offers MHF tuning to > 30 cm–1 and frequently to > 100 cm–1, together with open-loop linewidths of ≤ 5 MHz (around 100 ms).

The CW-MHF laser achieves this performance using a highly stable laser cavity intended to limit sensitivity to acoustic perturbation, led by finite element analysis. This design draws on years of expertise in precision engineering and manufacturing.

The CW-MHF laser offers two methods for changing wavelength: current modulation and PZT modulation. This unique combination of modulation capabilities, narrow-linewidth operation, and broad MHF tuning allows locking to a wavelength reference and/or high-resolution spectroscopy.
