New LRL Cyber Microscope Uses Neuromorphic Processors for Advanced Anomaly Detection

Lewis Rhodes Labs (LRL) today announced the introduction of the Cyber Microscope for faster and more accurate anomaly detection. The new product is based upon a breakthrough Cyber Optimized Neuromorphic Processor that increases the speed and resolution of detection by more than 100 times. Neuromorphic Processors are designed around a unique understanding of how the sensory cortex of the brain processes streams of data in parallel.

Handbook of Clinical Nanomedicine Explains NanoViricides’ Anti-Virus Platform Technology

NanoViricides, Inc. (the "Company") announced today that information on its novel, proprietary anti-virus platform technology has been published in the book "Handbook of Clinical Nanomedicine, Vol. 1. Nanoparticles, Imaging, Therapy, and Clinical Applications", a CRC Press publication. Scientists Use Infrared Laser Heat in Nanopore Sensing to Study DNA

A team of researchers from Virginia Commonwealth University have formulated a novel method to examine DNA molecules. Their research paper titled, “Infrared laser heating applied to nanopore sensing for DNA duplex analysis,” discusses the method for improved forensic DNA workflows to gain much faster and precise identification. The paper has been published in the Analytical Chemistry journal, and was available online from 19th February.

Researchers Engineer Shape-Changing Nanoparticles to Deliver Cancer Drugs Specifically into Tumors

The aim of chemotherapy should be to kill cancer cells without the side effect of hair falling out. A team of researchers from the University of Toronto have developed a novel molecular delivery system, which has the capability to ensure that chemotherapy drugs reach their target without major collateral damage.

RPCI Researchers Develop and Evaluate First Intravital Microscopy System

A team of Roswell Park Cancer Institute (RPCI) researchers has developed and evaluated the first intravital microscopy system shown to be safe for use in humans. Writing in the journal Nature Communications, the scientists report that their proprietary technology enabled them, for the first time ever, to visualize tumor blood vessels in real time.

Researchers at the Technion-Israel Institute of Technology have developed technology to compress light wavelengths fourfold, providing a way to focus light beyond normal wavelengths to reach nanoscales (a nanometer is a billionth of a meter) in length.

A strechable, nano-scale device has been created which can be used to filter out specific wavelengths of light whilst itself remaining transparent. This technology could be used in the development of novel eye protection.
