HiSilicon Technologies Deploys Synopsys Platform for FinFET Designs Targeting TSMC's 16nm Technology

Synopsys, Inc. today announced that HiSilicon Technologies, a leading provider for telecom network, wireless terminal and digital media chipset solutions, has broadly deployed Synopsys' Galaxy™ Design Platform for the implementation of ARM® Cortex®-A72, Cortex -A57 and Cortex -A53 processor-based FinFET designs targeting TSMC's 16-nanometer (nm) process technology.

Medicine-Loaded Nanoparticles Hold Promise for Corneal Transplants

There are about 48,000 corneal transplants done each year in the U.S., compared to approximately 16,000 kidney transplants and 2,100 heart transplants[1] [2]. Out of the 48,000 corneal transplants done, 10 percent of them end up in rejection, largely due to poor medication compliance. This costs the health care system and puts undue strain on clinicians, patients and their families.

Sharing their insights on microscopy and trends in optics, six Nobel Prize winners and two laser luminaries will deliver plenary keynotes at CLEO 2015, the premier international forum for scientific and technical optics, 10 – 15 May 2015, at the San Jose Convention Center, California, USA.
