FIRST Center to Receive $15.2 Million for Study of Nanoscale Environment at Fluid-Solid Interfaces

Oak Ridge National Laboratory will be home to two Energy Frontier Research Centers (EFRCs) announced this week by U.S. Energy Secretary Ernest Moniz. The Department of Energy awarded a total of $100 million to 32 EFRC projects to accelerate the scientific breakthroughs needed to build the 21st-century energy economy.

Wearable Sensor Patch Subsystem Selected by Nano-Bio Manufacturing Consortium to Receive Funding

The Nano-Bio Manufacturing Consortium (NBMC) has selected a proposal by the University of Massachusetts, Amherst, to develop a wearable sensor patch subsystem as its first project in its mission to develop human performance-monitoring electronics. The project has $450,000 in total funding.
