SanDisk Announced Highly Advanced NAND Flash Process Node 1Z-nanometer Technology

SanDisk Corporation, a global leader in flash storage solutions, today announced the availability of its 1Z-nanometer (nm) technology, the most advanced NAND flash process node in the world. The 15nm technology will ramp on both two bits-per-cell (X2) and three bits-per-cell (X3) NAND flash memory architectures with production ramp to begin in the second half of 2014.

The mechanism of using the anisotropic Purcell factor to control the spontaneous emission linewidths in a four-level atom is theoretically demonstrated; if the polarization angle bisector of the two dipole moments lies along the axis of large/small Purcell factor, destructive/constructive interference narrows/widens the fluorescence center spectral lines.

Altera Partners with TSMC for Bringing its Bump-Based Packaging to Altera's 20nm SoCs

Altera Corporation and TSMC today announced the two companies have worked together to bring TSMC's patented, fine-pitch copper bump-based packaging technology to Altera's 20 nm Arria 10 FPGAs and SoCs. Altera is the first company to adopt this technology in commercial production to deliver improved quality, reliability and performance to Altera's 20 nm device family.
