Nano Labs and Nanotex Partner to Accelerate Commercialized Development of Nano-Scale Magnetic Particles

Nano Labs Corp. is pleased to announce today the Company has signed a Collaboration Agreement with Soluciones Nanotecnologicas, S.L., (Nanotex(R)) Spain to launch an Industrial Applications Development Program (IADP) to design and develop new industrial applications suitable for commercialization of “nano scale magnetic particles.”

New Insight into How Fly Brain Extracts Information About Visual Scenes to Guide Behavior

As a tiny fruit fly navigates through its environment, it relies on visual landmarks to orient itself. Now, researchers at the Howard Hughes Medical Institute’s Janelia Farm Research Campus have identified neurons deep in the fly’s brain that tune in to some of the same basic visual features that neurons in bigger animals such as humans pick out in their surroundings.

New Investment for Development of CNSE’s RNA Technology by Hocus Locus

Governor Andrew M. Cuomo today announced that the RNA technology invented at CNSE will be developed by Albany-based Hocus Locus, LLC with a recent investment from Eastern New York Angels. Once developed, the technology will provide medical researchers and healthcare providers with a new diagnostic tool to aid in the detection of cancer and other diseases. Its creators say the technology could also lead to the development of new treatments for those diseases.

NanoKTN Releases Latest Version of UK Nanotechnology Directory

The Nanotechnology Knowledge Transfer Network (NanoKTN), one of the UK’s primary knowledge-based networks for Micro and Nanotechnologies, has published the latest version of its UK Nanotechnology Directory. Now in its fourth edition, the guidebook features over 450 organisations active in micro and nanotechnologies and the associated supply chains in the UK, and is available for free to anyone working within the MNT industry.
