Laser welding provides many advantages over other welding methods, especially when it comes to sealing electronic components. Here, the combination of galvo scanners for high speed over short ranges and long travel linear motor stages provides higher flexibility also on larger work pieces. Operating linear stages and galvo scanners together is made possible by a special Laser Control module and advanced software available with the motion systems from PI.
