Refurbished ABI Q-Star Elite high-performance, hybrid quadrupole Time-of-Flight
(TOF) (installed in 2007) mass spectrometer for high resolution and high mass
accuracy measurements. The Applied Biosystems/ABI QSTAR Elite is complete with
NanoSpray II source (with two mounted cameras), vacuum pump, Eksigent Tempo
nanoLC/nano LC, manuals, and PC with Analyst, Protein Pilot and Markerview software.
OPTIONAL: Agilent 1200 Series HPLC.
QSTAR Elite Mass Range: 5-40,000 Da with a parent ion selection
between 5 and 6000 Da.
*Using rapid LC gradients on simple protein digest samples, high sequence coverage
of over 50% can be obtained reproducibly on the QSTAR® Elite System.
*A >4 fold improvement in identification results is observed on the QSTAR®
Elite System using ProteinPilotTM Software over the QSTAR® XL System using
Mascot.
*MS/MS acquisition rates still give excellent protein sequence coverage with
high data quality.
